How to Grow Vegetables?
I know a lot of people who wants to plant vegetable gets discouraged because they don't know how to do it. They are scared that those seedlings might not sprout or they might not get a single fruit of their labor. Honestly planting veggies is easy especially if you know what you are doing. If you are new to gardening then its normal to get mistakes but you can avoid it easily especially if you are armed with proper information and you keep on learning new things as time pass by.
Follow this simple steps and you can grow your own vegetables easily.
- To grow vegetable in your garden you must till the soil first and then till it again after two weeks, this will ensure that the weeds are thoroughly eliminated they will not compete with nutrients and sunlight.
- Once you finished tilling the soil, it is now time to apply organic or chemical fertilizer, well its your choice but I strongly recommend organic because it is free and you can harvest organic produce which is known to be more healthier and safer.
- Ops! I forgot, when you tilled the soil for the first time, put your seeds on a seeding tray and let them germinate, by the time you are finished in applying fertilizer in your planting field or bed the seedlings will be ready for transfer.
- Now transfer the seedlings in your planting field, the recommended transfer time is 5:00PM this will give the seedlings time to recover the whole night. Transferring in the morning might work but some might die because of too much heat in noon.
- Apply mulch and it will prevent insects and loss of moisture, it is also good in suppressing weeds. Water the veggies when needed, too much watering can make the roots rot.
- Wait, be patient and keep on taking care of your veggies.
- After 2-3 months you will see the fruit of your labor. Enjoy the harvest and enjoy your vegetables!
